Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 8th June, 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings, consultations, tattoo appointments and services provided by The Inkpot Tattoo Studio.
By booking with us, paying a deposit, attending an appointment or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Bookings and consultations
Consultations may be required before booking a tattoo appointment. This allows us to discuss your idea, placement, size, style, pricing and suitability.
We reserve the right to decline any tattoo request at our discretion, including designs we feel are unsuitable, unsafe, offensive, inappropriate, or outside the style or ability of the artist.
Deposits
We take a 20% deposit on all tattoo bookings.
Your deposit secures your appointment date and covers preparation time, design work and lost appointment space if you cancel or fail to attend.
Deposits are generally non-refundable, unless we cancel the appointment and cannot offer a suitable alternative.
Rescheduling and cancellations
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible.
Where reasonable notice is given, we may transfer your deposit to a new appointment date at our discretion.
If you cancel at short notice, fail to attend, arrive too late to complete the appointment, or repeatedly reschedule, your deposit may be lost and a new deposit may be required to rebook.
Pricing
Tattoo prices vary depending on size, detail, placement, style, complexity and time required.
Any quote given before the appointment is based on the information available at the time. If the design, size, placement or level of detail changes, the final price may also change.
The remaining balance is due at the end of your appointment unless otherwise agreed.
Design work
Design work remains the property of The Inkpot Tattoo Studio and/or the tattoo artist unless agreed otherwise.
Designs may not be taken to another artist, copied, reproduced or used elsewhere without permission.
Minor design adjustments can usually be made before or during your appointment, but significant changes may require a new appointment, extra design time, or a new deposit.
Age restrictions and ID
You must be 18 or over to be tattooed in the UK.
We may ask for valid photo ID before your appointment. If you cannot provide suitable ID when requested, we may refuse to tattoo you and your deposit may be lost.
We do not tattoo anyone under 18, even with parental permission.
Health and safety
You must tell us before your appointment if you have any medical conditions, allergies, skin conditions, infections, are taking medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if there is anything else that may affect your suitability for a tattoo.
We may refuse or postpone a tattoo if we believe it is unsafe to continue.
You should not attend your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If we believe you are under the influence, we may refuse to tattoo you and your deposit may be lost.
Before your appointment
Please arrive on time, well-rested, hydrated and having eaten properly.
Wear suitable clothing that allows access to the area being tattooed. We recommend avoiding alcohol before your appointment and following any preparation advice given by the studio.
Aftercare
We will provide aftercare advice following your tattoo.
It is your responsibility to follow the aftercare instructions carefully. We are not responsible for issues caused by poor aftercare, picking, scratching, sun exposure, swimming, unsuitable products, or failure to follow the advice provided.
Touch-ups
Some tattoos may need a small touch-up after healing. Whether a touch-up is free or chargeable is at the discretion of the studio and artist.
Touch-ups may be chargeable if the tattoo has not been cared for properly, if aftercare advice was not followed, or if the request is made after a long period of time.
Results and healing
Tattoo results can vary depending on skin type, placement, aftercare, lifestyle, healing, sun exposure and other factors outside our control.
We will always aim to provide high-quality work, but healed results can vary from person to person.
Personal belongings
Please take care of your personal belongings while visiting the studio. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items unless caused by our negligence.
Gift vouchers, products and other purchases
Where gift vouchers or products are offered, any specific expiry dates, usage terms or refund conditions will be stated at the time of purchase.
Gift vouchers cannot usually be exchanged for cash.
Website content
The content on our website is for general information only. We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that all content will always be complete, current or error-free.
Images of tattoos, artwork, designs, branding, text and other content on our website remain the property of The Inkpot Tattoo Studio and/or the relevant artist unless otherwise stated.
